Sustainability Council: STUV focuses on the future

STUV thinks green: New Sustainability Council picks up speed

STUV sets an example for more sustainability and establishes a Sustainability Council. The aim of the committee is to promote sustainability even more in all areas of the company. The committee, which includes representatives from all departments, discusses innovative ideas, allocates tasks and decides on measures that are then implemented throughout the company.

Initial measures include:

  • Neutral printing and optimised dimensions of product packaging: This allows us to recycle the packaging, save raw materials and reduce waste.
  • Switching to environmentally friendly bubble wrap: The new bubble wrap not only saves storage space and storage costs at STUV, but also increases the protection of the products during transport.

In addition to these new measures, STUV has been working for a long time to become more environmentally friendly. Other measures that STUV has already tackled are

  • 2.000 m² photovoltaic system on the STUV roof
  • Construction of a modern combined heat and power plant
  • 10 charging stations for electric vehicles
  • Retrofitting to LED lights
  • Retrofitting to energy-efficient machines

"We are proud to be taking another step towards a more sustainable future with the new Sustainability Council," says Dr Martin Meyer-Fackler, Managing Partner (CFO) at STUV. "Sustainability is not a trend for us, but an integral part of our corporate strategy."
