Landshut Prison: Modern security for 551 inmates
The Landshut correctional facility (JVA), with 551 prison places and 36 places for juvenile detention, is a modern prison that meets the highest security standards. The new building, which cost almost 73 million euros, was completed in 2010 and replaced the approximately 100-year-old prison in the centre of Landshut.
Among those detained are men in pre-trial detention, in prison and in juvenile detention.
