Modern penal system for 510 inmates in Wuppertal-Ronsdorf prison

The Wuppertal-Ronsdorf correctional facility (JVA) was opened in 2011 after a construction period of just two years and since then has offered 510 places in closed prisons, 310 of which are for young offenders (juvenile detention) and 200 for young prisoners on remand (correctional detention). The modern prison is characterised by well thought-out architecture and high-quality facilities and contributes to a safe and orderly penal system.

High security standards thanks to STUV high-security locks

The security of staff and inmates is a top priority at Wuppertal-Ronsdorf Prison. The detention rooms are spread across four detention centres in two building complexes. In addition, there are gate and administration buildings, three factory buildings with 18 workshops, a kitchen building and a sports hall on the approximately 10-hectare site. STUV manufactured and installed all the security and high-security locks. These doors and gates were fitted with locks by STUV:

Individual requirements demand individual security solutions

In addition to the standard products, STUV has also realised numerous custom-made products for Wuppertal-Ronsdorf Prison. These were specially adapted to the individual requirements of the prison and thus contribute to an even higher dimension of security and convenience. In addition to the delivery, STUV also took on the assembly of the high-security locks.
