Committed and successful at the training fair in Velbert
Successful appearance at the training fair in Velbert – despite high summer temperatures
Last weekend, the STUV team – represented by Ms Breuckmann (training manager for commercial professions), Mr Becker (training manager for industrial professions) and Mr Iber (commercial trainee and JAV chairman) – was in action at the training fair at the EMKA Sports Centre in Velbert. Despite summer temperatures of 32 degrees, it quickly became clear that the fair was worth the effort in every respect. Shortly after the fair began, there was a large crowd of visitors at the STUV stand. Numerous school pupils and their parents gathered to find out more about the wide range of training and study opportunities available at STUV.
It was particularly positive that interest in industrial and technical apprenticeships was significantly higher this year than in previous years – a development that we found encouraging.
A special highlight was the close cooperation with the Heiligenhaus campus of the Bochum University of Applied Sciences. This cooperation not only reached students who are interested in a traditional apprenticeship, but also specifically those who are considering a dual study programme. This enabled us to hold intensive discussions with interested parties directly.
The on-site effort paid off immediately, as we have already received the first applications.
Conclusion: An all-round successful day at the fair with many exciting discussions and new contacts. One thing is certain for next time: in addition to even more business cards and flyers, we will probably also be taking a few fans with us.
