Our specially designed seminar for security officers in correctional facilities brings you up to date on the latest developments in security technology. Our instructors—experienced experts from industry and practice—share their knowledge in compact, practical presentations.

Under the motto "From practice – for practice," we shed light on key topics relating to security concepts and protective equipment in forensic facilities. Between seminar blocks, there will be an opportunity to visit the Competence Center for Justice/Correctional Facilities & KRITIS – a practice-oriented guide that allows you to experience structural, technical, and organizational challenges firsthand.

The following topics are covered, among others:

•Security locks for forensic areas

•Suicide-proof fittings for psychiatric wards and correctional facilities

•RFID solutions for key and visitor management

•Light and spatial effects in a forensic context – with a focus on safety, emotions, and the treatment environment

•Safety window to protect against escape, suicide, and outside interference

•Personnel safety in the workplace

Other highlights include a visit to the trade exhibition, a guided tour of the lock and hardware museum in Velbert, and an evening event offering opportunities for discussion and networking.

On the second day, we will focus on topics such as "Safety without bars" and discuss structural alternatives to traditional security measures.
