For locking systems that have been in use for many years, it is not always necessary to replace the entire lock. Often, the only component that needs to be updated is the cylinder.
A complete transition to new lock types can have far-reaching consequences:

- Longer lock-down periods for individual detention rooms or areas

- additional costs for new lock bodies and hardware
The HSL MOGUL cylinder therefore addresses the areas where modernization is actually needed. The existing lock body is reused and supplemented with cylinder technology developed specifically for the correctional system.
