As of 1 August 2025, we are looking for a student for the dual study programme in Mechatronic Systems according to the KIS or KIA model at our Heiligenhaus location for Steinbach & Vollmann GmbH and its sister company, STUV Prison Solutions GmbH.
In cooperation with the Bochum University of Applied Sciences, Heiligenhaus Campus, STUV offers cooperative engineering training and, optionally, cooperative engineering studies in the field of mechatronic systems with a bachelor's degree. The programme will provide you with an internationally recognised degree with excellent employment opportunities and prospects within our company.
In the cooperative engineering programme, you will learn a traditional profession at our company while studying at a university. During the first two years of your studies, you will spend three days a week at the company and two days a week at the university. After that, you will switch to full-time study. In the cooperative engineering programme, you will work at the company approximately two days per week and full-time during approximately 12 lecture-free weeks. The programme, which lasts nine semesters, concludes with a bachelor's thesis, during which we and the Heiligenhaus campus will provide you with advice and support.

- Build and test electrical control systems
- Circuit diagram design and switch cabinet construction
- Design, assemble, dismantle and maintain machines, systems and equipment
- Programming machine controls using PLC control
- Perform software and hardware tests

- Computer science (including object-oriented and hardware-related programming, embedded systems, data analysis)
- Mechanical engineering (including mechanics, CAE, design, materials science)

What you bring to our team
- You have a high school diploma or a technical college entrance qualification with good grades
- You have a good knowledge of mathematics and physics and are interested in mechatronic and electronic systems.
- You have good spatial awareness, think logically and are resourceful
- You work conscientiously and reliably, and you are eager to learn and take initiative
- You are excited by new challenges and eager to contribute your ideas
