Our business model is future-proof and has great potential for growth. We have big plans for the coming years. We want to significantly expand our market share both nationally and internationally and are therefore looking to strengthen our team.
As of 1 August 2025, we are looking for a student for the dual study programme Mechatronic Systems according to the KIS or KIA model for Steinbach & Vollmann GmbH and its sister company, STUV Prison Solutions GmbH, at the Heiligenhaus site.
In cooperation with Bochum University of Applied Sciences, Heiligenhaus campus, STUV offers a cooperative engineering training programme and also an optional cooperative engineering degree in mechatronic systems with a Bachelor's degree. You will obtain an internationally recognised degree with very good prospects of being taken on by our company.
In the cooperative engineering training programme, you will learn a traditional apprenticeship in our company and study at the university at the same time. In the first two years of the programme, you will spend three days a week at the company and two days a week at the university. After that, you switch to the full-time programme. On the cooperative engineering degree programme, you will work full-time at the company for around two days a week and for around 12 lecture-free weeks. The degree programme, which lasts 9 semesters, ends with the Bachelor's thesis, for which we and the Heiligenhaus campus will be on hand to provide you with advice and support.

- Building and testing electrical control systems
- Circuit diagram design and switch cabinet construction
- Designing, assembling, dismantling and maintaining machines, systems and plants
- Programming machine controls using PLC control
- Carry out software and hardware tests

What you bring to our team
- You have the Abitur or the Fachhochschulreife with a good degree in your pocket
- You have a good knowledge of maths and physics and are interested in mechatronic and electronic systems.
- You have good spatial awareness, think logically and are resourceful
